unusual stein?

Picked this up in an antique store many years ago. Loved it because of the glass bottom and the pattern. Does anyone have information about this type of stein?

It certainly is interesting.
Could you post some pictures of both sides of the handle - thumb-lift and hinge?
And maybe one of the bottom too?
Pretty cool piece - but I don't know anything about it.
